My Process For Deciding Which Products Are Worth Purchasing (and which aren’t.)

I have been reflecting on my shopping habits. As a result, I now buy fewer products. Yet, they are of significantly higher quality. Not because I don’t appreciate beautiful things (I do), and not because I am against shopping. Simply put, I’ve discovered that not everything deserves a spot in your daily routine or in your luggage.

Reviewed By K is a way to chronicle this transition.

This is not a haul site.

This is not a blog about finding new trends or trying to get people to buy what I purchased.

This is about discernment.

The New Standard I Use Before I Purchase Any Product

Each time I consider purchasing an item — whether it’s wellness technology, activewear, travel accessories, or a high-end product — I first determine whether the answer to a series of basic questions is “yes.”

  • Is this product something that I will use more than once?
  • Does this product improve my daily routine or my overall enjoyment of life?
  • Would I purchase this product again using my own funds?
  • Does this product reflect how I really live — and not how I want to live?

If the answer to all of those questions is “no,” then it does not become part of my collection.

And if the answers to those questions are “yes,” then it becomes worthy of being featured here.

Why Reviewed By K Exists

Over several years, I researched, evaluated, edited — not only content but also my choices. At some point, the way I approached making purchasing decisions became the foundation for the way I approach shopping.

I don’t purchase every item I see.

I don’t suggest anything I would not support.

And I don’t think the aesthetic is a sufficient reason to purchase something if it does not work properly.

Reviewed By K is where I post about the things that truly hold up:

  • The wellness tools that I continue to use
  • The clothing I consistently wear
  • The travel accessories that earn their place
  • The tech that makes my life easier rather than overwhelming
  • The luxury products that I find to be both intentional and not impulse buys

Some are functional, others are indulgent; all are considered.

What You’ll See Here

The content on this website will be organized based on how these things fit into our lives, rather than based on trends or seasonal purchases.

You can expect to see honest reviews, thoughtful comparisons, and personal comments regarding what works — and what doesn’t — in the following categories:

  • wellness & self-care
  • Pilates & activewear
  • travel essentials
  • everyday luxury
  • creator & lifestyle tech

There will be some articles that will be very personal. Others will be to the point.

But each article will be written through the same lens: Is this truly worth it?

A Note About Recommendations

When I provide links to other websites or platforms on this site, it is because I personally use the product(s), I enjoy using them, and I would highly recommend them. Occasionally, when I create a link to another platform or website, I may receive a small commission from the sale of the product(s). This will always remain in addition to what I write and recommend — and never instead of it.

To me, trust is far greater than clicks.

This is a gradual process. One that is thoughtfully developed. And I’m grateful to have you here at the start.
